About Sakura
- Sakura was born in Tokyo. Living around artful environment , with her grandfather who is a leading painter of cherry blossoms, and mother who is also a painter. She started her own nail salon business in my 20s and opened a nail salon in Bic Camera as the first cross-industry collaboration in the beauty industry. She has an experience as a nail artist for celebrities. Furthermore she has developed salons and schools in Japan and overseas, and was known as the inventor of “Ita Nail”, which is nail art depicting manga and anime.
- During her successful career, she developed a serious case of depression that required care after discovering that her then-husband was having an affair. While in treatment, she published a manga that later became a book and led to her debut as a manga artist after receiving 1.5 million page views. She also worked as a navigator on an NHK program.
- After her illness went into remission, she began working as a counselling professional, supporting people in achieving mental and financial independence. She established “Links Plus Co., Ltd.” with the aim of increasing the number of people who can believe their connections with themselves and the future beyond. Through fer course “FIND ME PROGRAM”, She aim to convey the importance of “being independent”.
Achievements
- The airbrush category champion at Nailympic in Las Vegas 2005, and winner of many other contests in Japan and overseas.
- Having over 10,000 customers and trained over 20,000 students in Japan and overseas.
- A manga he published on Pixiv received 250 million page views now, and was made into a book. He has also appeared in numerous media appearances, including as a navigator on an NHK special program about depression.
